Bachelor Degrees in Medical & Health: Nursing
Earning your bachelor's degree in nursing is a smart first step towards a top-tier nursing career. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that a bachelor's degree in nursing provides broad training in areas such as communication, leadership, and critical thinking, all of which are becoming more important as nursing care grows more complex.
RN-to-BSN Programs
Some BSN programs are designed for newcomers to the field, and confer registered nurse (RN) status during the course of study. Others, called RN-to-BSN programs, are designed for registered nurses who already have their clinical training, and are seeking specialized medical or management education. Many of the latter programs are available online. While no degree program can guarantee a particular career, the Bureau of Labor Statistics notes that nurses with a bachelor's degree have better job prospects than those without.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is designed to develop the professional knowledge and skills of working registered nurses. The curriculum is built upon a foundation of biological, physical, and social sciences which contribute to the science of nursing. The liberal arts components enhance the development of the intellectual, social, and cultural aspects of the professional nurse.
