Bachelor Degrees in Engineering: Engineering
Working as an engineer means applying your education to real-life technology. Students who earn a bachelor's degree in engineering typically specialize in one field such as civil or electrical engineering--or they may complete general engineering coursework. The general engineering curriculum allows students to specialize on the job or in graduate school.
Engineering Coursework
Courses in design, science, and math are typically included in engineering bachelor's degree programs. The Bureau of Labor Statistics notes that all 50 states require licensure for engineers who offer their services directly to the public—and a bachelor's degree (sometimes a master's) is required for licensure.
